Our group focuses on the development of computational predictive models for the study of RNA biology. We are interested in the role of chromatin and non-coding RNAs in the regulation of splicing, and the relevance of these mechanisms in cancer. We are also studying the effect of enhancers on splicing and alternative transcription initiation. Using epigenetic data, we have built a predictive model of active enhancers. We are now exploring the effect that intragenic enhancers may have on the co-transcriptional regulation of RNA.
