WP11 EpiGeneSys Open Calls for Associate Members & Virtual Institute of Epigenetics & Systems Biology:
The EpiGeneSys network has adopted an open and flexible membership structure, which allows for anticipating or reacting to newly emerging scientific questions and challenges. The introduction of an associated non-beneficiary membership allows associates to selectively contribute to the network's joint activities and aid the network by further integrating the larger European scientific community from both fields. Associate members are chosen following an application procedure with subsequent evaluation by the management board.
The network strives to maintain a durable framework to foster scientific interactions and collaborations that will outlive the financial and time constraints of EC funding. A member survey indicated that members advocate a continuation of core EpiGeneSys activities, such as the website, network meetings and workshops. EpiGeneSys has formed a task force who will try and identify the best way ahead.
