BRIC, University of CopenhagenDescriptionAn enthusiastic microscopist is required to maintain the many microscopes within the BRIC and provide training to new users, including PhD and postdoctoral fellows. Among the microscopes in the facility are confocal (Zeiss and Leica), a Leica TIRF microscope and Deltavision wide field live cell microscope capable of fluorescence, FRET and bright field. In addition there are numerous laboratory microscopes for routine methods. A further responsibility will be to provide training and troubleshooting in microscopy and in imaging software. Close collaboration with user groups to further their research activities will be essential. It is expected that the Microscopy Scientist will take an active interest in current research within BRIC. As part of that, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing information to groups at BRIC regarding new technological developments that aid current research. QualificationsWe expect you to be a highly motivated and highly ambitious scientist with the following qualifications:
SalaryThe appointment is for 3 years and scheduled to start April 2013. Salary, pension and terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central organization.
