EMBL Mouse Biology UnitDescriptionA research technician position is available in the laboratory of Sara Buonomo at the EMBL Mouse Biology Unit in Rome. The candidate will be required to support other members of the laboratory in molecular biology techniques, cloning genes, performing mutagenesis, transfecting cell lines and performing basic protein expression/interaction analysis. Therefore we favor candidates with experience in basic molecular biology and cell culture techniques. In addition, managerial and organizational skills are required to ensure the day-to-day running of the laboratory QualificationsApplicants should have a university degree or technical school training in the life sciences. The candidate must possess previous experience working in international laboratories, both performing bench work in the areas of cell culture, protein purification and molecular biology. The candidate must be able to work in a team, supporting other people work, must be flexible and enthusiastic, willing to take on challenges and learn new techniques. Fluency in English as well as good computer skills are necessary.
