EMBL Mouse Biology Unit

Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the team of Sara Buonomo at the EMBL Mouse Biology Unit in Rome to study the regulation of DNA replication and the interplay with the DNA damage checkpoints in both differentiated and stem cells in the mammalian system. In our studies we use a multidisciplinary approach, focused mainly on cell biology and biochemistry, but including also developmental biology. We seek to recruit a postdoc who will work on a project aimed at identifying the molecular function of a key protein involved in regulation of DNA replication timing.

Qualifications

The candidate should have excellent skills, be strongly driven and willing to work in a challenging and international environment. In addition to a PhD, the ideal candidate should have a strong experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology. Good communication and interpersonal skills are further required. The working language at EMBL is English.
