Description

A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the team of Luisa Di Stefano at the LBCMCP (Laboratoire de Biologie Cellulaire et Moléculaire du Contrôle de la Prolifération) in Toulouse, France. The Di Stefano team investigates the role of histone demethylases in the control of gene transcription and chromatin states in vivo in Drosophila and in human cancer cell lines. The successful candidate will join a collaborative project funded by the ITMO aviesan “Epigenetic and cancer program” aimed at studying the impact of defects in heterochromatin homeostasis during Drosophila development and in lymphoid cancers. The projects will integrate genetics, chromatin biochemistry, cell biology, transcriptome and epigenome analysis.

Qualifications

We are seeking highly motivated scientists with a strong background in the following disciplines: chromatin biochemistry, genetics and cell biology. Additional experience in bioinformatics would be a plus. The candidate should have a record of creativity and scientific productivity as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Excellent written and spoken English as well interpersonal and collaborative skills are also required for this position.
