LBCMCP, Universite’ Paul SabatierDescriptionA 3-year post-doctoral position is available starting from April 2012 in the laboratory of Luisa Di Stefano at the LBCMCP, Universite’ Paul Sabatier in Toulouse, France. The team investigates the role of the histone demethylase LSD1 in the control of gene transcription and chromatin homeostasis in Drosophila and in cancer cell lines. The candidate will focus on the identification of novel dLsd1 partners important for its functions during development and in tumorigenesis. The projects will integrate genetics, chromatin biochemistry, cell biology, transcriptome and epigenome analysis. For more information on the team please visit the website : http://www-lbcmcp.ups-tlse.fr QualificationsWe are seeking highly motivated candidates who have recently obtained a PhD and have a strong background in at least two of the following disciplines: chromatin biochemistry, genetics and cell biology. Additional experience in bioinformatics would be a plus. The candidate should have a record of creativity and scientific productivity as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Excellent written and spoken English as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills are also required for this position.
