Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), Mainz, Germany Molecular EpigeneticsThe laboratory of Molecular Epigenetics seeks to understand how environmental factors and cellular signals rewrite the epigenetic information that is stored in chromatin and how these alterations are interpreted in the course of DNA repair, embryonic stem cell differentiation and ageing. We are particularly interested in revealing the underlying molecular pathways of the aforementioned cellular processes employing chromatin biochemistry, sophisticated microscopy techniques and next-generation sequencing.
