The Institute of Molecular Genetics in Montpellier (IGMM) seeks to employ a post-doctoral scientist in epigenetics. The project will explore imprinted gene expression during mammalian development, with a particular emphasis on the role of long non-coding RNAs in chromatin structuration. Murine embryonic stem cells are used as a main model, in the context of ANR and INCa funded research programmes. The successful candidate will join the ‘Imprinting and Development’ team within the dynamic setting of the IGMM (http://www.igmm.cnrs.fr/en/), LabEx EpiGenMed and Montpellier BioCampus, in the vibrant Mediterranean city of Montpellier. Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. degree in developmental or molecular biology and prior experience with bioinformatics is preferable.
Funding for this position, starting early 2019, is for 2 years initially. Starting salary, according to CNRS post-doctoral pay scale (about 2000 € net), will depend on experience and age.
