While scientific evidence points firmly towards the health benefits of a diet rich in fruit and veg, we're only just starting to understand how specific molecules in our food can influence our health.
As the media bombards us with the latest results on the cancer-fighting, brain-boosting or heart-healing properties of everything from garlic to grapes, there's also some fascinating research to suggest that what we eat might also have epigenetic effects.
