Description

Applications are currently being accepted for a 2 years postdoctoral position in a laboratory located at the Institute of Human Genetics in Montpellier, France.
Our research interests focus on the understanding of the role of chromatin modifying enzymes (HMTs, DNMTs and other newly discovered factors) on the composition and biological features of telomeres and other repetitive regions in mammalian cellular models. To this end, we are using a combination of standard biochemical and genetics approaches together with the recently described PICh technology (Proteomics of Isolated Chromatin segments, see Dejardin and Kingston, Cell 136, 2009).

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a PhD degree or equivalent and have a strong background in chromatin biochemistry, telomere biology or heterochromatin biology. Knowledge about stem cell culture and handling would be a plus.
